Courses
Find online courses carefully selected to expand your skills.
The courses will be delivered virtually through the Zoom platform, ensuring accessibility for participants across different regions. Simultaneous interpretation in Spanish and English will be provided to facilitate inclusive participation and effective knowledge exchange.
The programs will be led by subject-matter experts with extensive experience, ensuring a rigorous and up-to-date academic approach. The courses will run for four weeks, with sessions held twice per week (Tuesdays and Thursdays at 6:00 p.m., New York time).
Participants will have access to a virtual platform where course materials, recordings of Zoom sessions, and additional resources will be made available. As part of the learning process, participants will also be required to complete assessments corresponding to each session.
Upon completion, participants who meet the established requirements—including a minimum attendance of 80% of total course hours and successful completion of the required assessments—will receive a certificate of completion. Additionally, the courses will offer academic credits in collaboration with Afroamérica XXI, an entity registered in the Dominican Republic.
Courses will be conducted with a minimum of 50 participants. To promote equitable access, scholarships will be awarded to 10% of total participants, with the number of scholarships increasing proportionally as enrollment grows.
Most course fees are $150 USD.
Detailed course information, schedules, and registration links will be available soon.

Tours
Afrodescendant Cultural Routes is a unique initiative that combines cultural tourism, education, and community engagement to highlight the history, contributions, and living traditions of Afrodescendant communities across different countries. Rooted in principles of inclusion, intercultural dialogue, and sustainable development, this program creates meaningful opportunities for participants to learn, connect, and experience cultures that have historically been underrepresented.
Through carefully designed itineraries, participants engage with local communities, visit cultural and historical sites, and take part in immersive experiences that promote a deeper understanding of Afrodescendant heritage. These experiences are not only educational but also transformative, fostering respect, awareness, and global connections.
A core component of this initiative is its commitment to community empowerment. Each program directly supports local initiatives, helping strengthen cultural preservation, economic opportunities, and community-led development. By participating, travelers become active contributors to positive social impact, supporting projects identified and led by local organizations.
This program is open to all individuals interested in culture, history, and social impact. It offers a space for learning, reflection, and connection, while promoting a more inclusive and representative understanding of our shared global history.

Books
Our publications highlight research, lived experiences, and critical perspectives on Afrodescendant communities, human rights, and social justice. Through books and other materials, we aim to contribute to knowledge production while amplifying voices that have historically been underrepresented.
As part of this initiative, we work directly with Afro-Latin activists to support and encourage them to write and share their own stories, experiences, and perspectives. Too often, narratives about Afrodescendant peoples and communities are written by non-Afrodescendant experts. While valuable, these perspectives can overlook lived realities. Our approach seeks to address this gap by centering the voices of those with direct experience.
We place a particular emphasis on supporting women and young leaders, creating opportunities for them to publish, strengthen their voices, and contribute to broader conversations on identity, rights, and social justice. This makes our publishing initiative both unique and impactful.
